Knopfler's Genius
Had a great gig at the 1st Annual Wayland Community Arts Fair today. We had a fun time as always. It was a real treat to have my former guitar student Ben Yamron play electric guitar with us. He was able to play all those little lead lines that get put aside in a small band. He also smoked on Sultans of Swing.
Funny thing about that song—Mark Knopfler doesn't so much sing as talk this song. It's a hard thing to do when you are trained to sing a melody. Great tune. Fun to "sing".
